I think it's amazing and worrying that something that is good for the living organisms in the ocean can turn out to be bad if there is too much of it. Fertilizing phytopankton is such an important thing to the ocean but too much of it which is called eutrophication can have a horrible effect. With too much phytoplankton covering the top of the ocean, not enough sunlight can get through too help the grow plants and algae. With no plants underwater no oxygen can be produced creating a dead zone. Having these dead zones with a messed up food chain can als affect us. It can decease the amount of fish available for commercial fisheries. I think it's interesting how the water can turn black just from too many nutrients. Something should be done to replenish these dead zones. Even if it is still difficult to bounce back from it, it is still possible if a healthy community is near that area of water.
