Notes
● Sustainable forest management was an idea made in the 1980’s
● A lot of trees can't grow by themselves in the shady canopy of the forest so they need humans to help them grow
● When humans help it can also threaten the biodiversity of the forest
● Without harvesting it made the price of harvesting mahogany increase by 1% a year
● Many companies are investing in long term logging
● Consumers are willing to pay 10% more for sustainable lumber
● In the future sustainable forest logging probably won't spread around the world

Summary
The idea behind this is to be able to make the loggers and the conservation people happy all at once. This could happen by letting the loggers cut a limited amount of trees. Limits will help a forest recover from people who continuously cut down trees. When they set limits on these trees they will stop and let the population grow again. This seems like a good idea if you don't count the natural disasters like forest fires which will make no moneyfor the loggers and it will be more expensive for companies.
Opinion
I think that sustainable management is a good idea but with some things that can be fixed. I think that it's good that they can keep both groups happy but the only set back is that it can make one group unhappy with a natural disaster. If a disaster would happen, a lot of money will be lost for the loggers, which can raise even more problems for both groups.
